I may have miss-heard, but I understand that DLA is not a benefit which is going to be cut, and ...... a little while later, while speaking about the reforms to the beniefts , that those on DLA will not come under the 'back to work' movement. So those of you who are struggling on getting the award - keep fighting if you can, it might be even more use to you than the money amount.

I recently had to re-apply, as my award was only for two years. It had taken me two attempts to get it in the first place. Having kept a copy of the last application, filling the application was not as hard, just changing the details as and when applicable. I had been worried that with the impending budget, it would be automatically rejected. And so a real suprise when I heard this morning (before the news) that I have now been award DLA indefinatly.

I look forward to hearing was NRAS have made of the news (I think I will understand it better from them).

Well Done on your DLA Mandy! I didn't really understand the ins and outs of it all either.
